A weekend with SQLite
I spent a rainy weekend moving a hobby project from a full database server to a single SQLite file. I expected compromises and found almost none.
Backups became a file copy. Tests became faster because every test gets a fresh database in a temporary folder.
There are limits, of course, but for a project with a handful of users they are far away.
